Real money advice.
No jargon. No fluff.
We’re on a mission to make personal finance approachable, honest, and genuinely useful — for everyday Americans who are tired of advice that doesn’t fit their real life.
Why I started ExploringKashvi
Let me be upfront with you: I didn’t grow up in a household that talked about money. Nobody sat me down and explained compound interest, credit scores, or why a Roth IRA was different from a traditional one. Like millions of Americans, I stumbled into adulthood financially underprepared — and I paid for it.
In my early twenties, I found myself drowning in confusion. I had student loan debt I didn’t fully understand, a credit card I was using wrong, and a savings account that was barely growing. I turned to the internet for help, and what I found was overwhelming: dense financial textbooks, jargon-heavy blog posts written for people who already knew what they were doing, and “advice” from influencers who seemed to live in a completely different financial reality than mine.
So I started doing my own research. I read books, took courses, talked to financial counselors during my time as a peer advisor at university, and slowly — very slowly — things started to click. I began to understand that managing money isn’t about being naturally good with numbers or having a high income. It’s about having the right information, the right systems, and the confidence to make decisions that are right for your life.
That’s what I want ExploringKashvi.com to be for you. A place where you can come with your real, messy money questions — whether you’re trying to build your first budget, figure out what to do with a $500 emergency fund, or understand what “diversifying your portfolio” actually means in plain English — and walk away with answers that actually help.
Demystifying money for real people
ExploringKashvi.com exists for one reason: to give everyday Americans — especially beginners — the financial knowledge they need to make confident, informed decisions about their money. We cover budgeting, investing, credit, debt payoff, and side income with clarity, honesty, and zero condescension.
We believe that financial literacy is not a luxury for the wealthy or the highly educated. It is a fundamental life skill that everyone deserves access to — regardless of income level, background, or how little they currently know about finance.
Every piece of content you read on this site is written by me, Kashvi — not outsourced, not AI-generated, not copied from somewhere else. My name and reputation are attached to every word, and I take that seriously. When you read an article here, you can trust that it has been researched thoroughly, written with care, and reviewed for accuracy before it goes live.
Topics we write about
ExploringKashvi.com is a focused personal finance blog. We don’t try to cover everything — we cover the topics that matter most to Americans who are just starting their financial journey or looking to level up specific areas of their money life.
Our content is written for a US audience. All figures, examples, laws, and financial products referenced on this site are specific to the United States unless otherwise noted. If you are outside the US, some information may not apply directly to your situation.
Who is Kashvi Sharma?
I’m a personal finance writer and money educator based in the United States. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan, and I am currently pursuing my AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor) certification through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE).
Before launching ExploringKashvi.com, I spent two years as a peer financial counselor at my university’s student money management center — helping fellow students navigate everything from building their first budget to understanding federal student loan repayment options. That experience taught me something invaluable: most people don’t lack intelligence when it comes to money. They lack access to clear, judgment-free information. That realization is the entire foundation of this blog.

What we believe about money content
The internet is full of personal finance content. A lot of it is thin, recycled, or written to sell you something. We operate differently — and these four values guide every single piece of content we publish.
Honesty over hype
We will never tell you that you can become a millionaire by skipping your morning coffee. We give you realistic, evidence-based information — even when the truth is less exciting.
Clarity over complexity
Financial jargon is a barrier, not a feature. We break every concept down into plain English — with examples from real life, not hypothetical scenarios.
Accuracy over speed
We would rather publish less content and get it right than flood the blog with articles that haven’t been properly fact-checked. Every stat and figure is sourced before it goes live.
Reader first, always
We disclose affiliate relationships upfront. We never recommend a product we wouldn’t use ourselves, and we never let a sponsorship compromise the integrity of our advice.
How we research and write our content
Because personal finance is a YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) topic — meaning the information we share can genuinely impact your financial decisions and wellbeing — we hold ourselves to a high standard of accuracy, transparency, and care. Here is exactly how every article on ExploringKashvi.com is created:
Primary source research
Every article is researched using authoritative primary sources including the IRS, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Reserve, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and established financial institutions. We do not rely on other blogs as sources.
Written by a real human expert
All content is written by Kashvi Sharma — not outsourced to anonymous writers and not generated by AI tools. Real experience and genuine expertise go into every post.
Regular updates
Financial information changes — tax laws update, interest rates shift, and financial products evolve. We review and update our content regularly to ensure accuracy. Publication and last-updated dates are shown on every article.
Full affiliate disclosure
Some posts on this site contain affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. All affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly at the top of relevant posts, in compliance with FTC guidelines.
No sponsored content disguised as advice
We do not accept payment to recommend specific financial products. If a product is mentioned positively, it is because we believe it is genuinely useful — not because we were paid to say so.
